Ms. Laney White was the recipient of the Charles Hirshey Award. The Charles Hirshey Award is given to an outstanding student in the School of Education at the Citadel each year.

Calling all four-year olds!!

Registration for all children interested in being in our Child Development class for school year 2010-2011 will begin March 8th.   We will have two half-day classes next year.  Children must be four years of age on, or before, September 1, 2010.  Testing will be held in May of 2010, so parents will need to stop by the office soon to register!

School Board Gets Update on Redesigned Schools
 
"Third grader, Shania Drayton likes solving math problems. She counts on her mom, Sandra Perry who helps her with homework every night. One year ago, Shania attended Fraser Elementary. This year she's at Orange Grove Elementary. Her academics started to excel, just a totally different child, Perry said. She's happy. She looks forward to going to school. Her eyes just light up."

Haitian Relief Efforts
Orange Grove’s support for this Soles for Souls shoe drive has been amazing! Approximately 804 pairs of shoes for the program were donated. In addition the students, parents, and faculty and staff collected a total of $2655 for Haiti which will be donated to the Water Ministries of Charleston.
